چکیده
Radio Frequency Identification technology is an ever-present automatic identification and data collection system. This technology has transformed how business and government operate their identification and data collection systems. Concerns about potential loss of privacy have increased as an aspect of a person’s interaction with RFID technology and device. A study of 317 undergraduate and graduate students at a midAtlantic university found that there was a significant association between gender and familiarity with RFID technology. Student respondents agreed that they would limit their use of RFID devices if a user profile could be built on them without their knowledge of consent.
